Organized by the Center for the Promotion of Science (CPN), who is a partner in the Climateurope2 project, the OpenSciComm 2022 conference gathered researchers, science communicators, policy officers and practitioners in Belgrade (Serbia) coming together to share and discuss useful practice in science communication. Relevant societal topics such as climate change, artificial intelligence, STE(A)M education, and researchers’ accountability were discussed.

The Climateurope2 consortium contributed to the event with the talk ‘Engaging with a diverse and inclusive community to reach consensus on climate services’. The project was presented in the session Climate literacy for sustainable future community development, moderated by Marjana Brkić (CPN) with talks from Vladimir Đurđević (University of Belgrade), Marta Terrado (Barcelona Supercomputing Center), Joanna Gordon Casey (Fort Lewis College), and Selvaggia Santin (Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change).
