Event Report: Trustworthy climate information for effective climate risk assessment

On 21 and 22 October 2025, University College London (UCL) and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) convened a group of 35 climate analytics providers, asset managers, insurers, and regulators met to discuss questions about the quality and trustworthiness of a growing market of analytics providers offering products ranging from raw climate data to tailored climate information services for the re/insurance and finance sectors. This meeting was organised under the umbrella of two projects: the EU’s Climateurope2 and UKRI’s Modeling for Decision Making.
In this report, we summarise key insights for governance of good practice within climate risk analytics that emerged at the event.
