Summary

What is the role of climate information in the world of arts?

This is one of the questions investigated by the European project Climateurope2, which has the objective to bring climate information closer to society and foster the dialogue between science and citizens.

We invited people from the world of arts (writers, artists, commissioners, musicians, journalists, etc.) to participate in a workshop organised in the Barcelona Centre of Contemporary Culture (Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona, CCCB) on the 26th of May 2023 from 9:30 - 13:30h.

The workshop allowed us to understand how people from the world of arts interpret, explore, incorporate and transform climate information in their work.

We are interested to know which type of climate-related information is used by artists and how, but also to which information would artists like to have access, in order to initiate a co-creation process with climate experts participating in the project.
