Climateurope2 developed this structured maturity model to assess, at the subcomponent level, how ready different climate service components are. The model uses eight questions covering aspects such as terminology, knowledge, practices, methods, evaluation criteria, scalability, policy support and demand for standardisation. Each question is scored from 1 (Ad-hoc) to 5 (Standardized), helping identify strengths, gaps and areas where further work is needed before standardisation can progress.
