Summary

As Climateurope2 draws to a close, join us for the final Climateurope2 Webstival, “What We’ve Learnt, Where We’re Going” on 18–19 November 2026. Over two days, we'll reflect on our achievements, share lessons learned, and explore future directions for climate services together with the community we’ve built.

Programme

Day 1 — What we’ve learnt (14:00–17:30 CET)

The Final Webstival will open with a plenary session presenting the key messages from Climateurope2, distilled from the project’s main results and from the experience of the whole consortium. A panel of voices from across the project will follow, for an open, conversational exchange on their contributions and the wider climate services landscape.

We will then dig deeper into the themes that cut across the project, through three parallel discussions with interactive activities and exercises in dedicated breakout rooms:

  • Delivering value, innovation and policy impact
  • Strengthening skills and building an equitable climate services community
  • Making climate information reliable, transparent and easy to use — and making sense of climate risk and uncertainty

Day 2 — Where we’re going (9:30–13:00 CET)

On the second day, a dedicated session will focus on our standardisation work, its legacy within the CEN process, and the road still ahead. We will share lessons learned, challenges and next steps for standardising climate services and for their implementation and uptake. The perspectives will come from different actors: the Secretariat of the CEN-CENELEC working group, national standards bodies, committee experts, and the people who will use and benefit from the standards. Together we will discuss how to accelerate the adoption of standards.

Finally, we will turn to the project’s community-building activities. We will review what we developed along the way, from festivals and roadshows to art and science calls, stakeholder perspectives webinars, the Platform, training modules and the podcast. Through lightning talks and an interactive Q&A, you will help shape what comes next, leaving with practical tools and ideas for your own work.

We will close with a look at the future of the climate services landscape, opportunities and the work still ahead.

The Webstival will take place on Zoom, and registration is required to attend. Please register by clicking the Register button. We hope to see many of you there, as we celebrate the end of the project together!
