Summary

Climate adaptation cannot succeed without science that is accessible, actionable, and embedded in policy. This joint event brings together three EU-funded research projects – Climateurope2, Impetus4Change and ASPECT– all dedicated to advancing climate services across Europe.

Each project approaches the challenge differently, from co-developing tools to onboarding climate services in cities, sectors, or new user groups. In the end, they share a common goal: ensuring that scientific knowledge translates into real impact for policymakers, practitioners, and citizens alike.

On 16 October 2026, the 3 projects will come together at Norway House in Brussels for a high-level, half-day discussion on combined insights and policy recommendations, distilled from years of collaborative research and stakeholder engagement. The event will culminate in the presentation of a joint policy brief, offering concrete guidance on how to scale climate services for seamless, evidence-based adaptation across the EU.This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from the projects shaping the future of climate services in Europe, and to engage with the policy implications of their work.
